Update Notes: 20-Apr-2000

An update to PowerDesk (version 4.0) has been released by Ontrack Data International (http://www.ontrack.com), the folks that bought out Mijenix. Unlike previously, a freeware version is now available for download (1.1mb), while the registered or "Pro" version costs US$19.95 and is a much heftier 11.8mb download.

Based on a very cursory trial of the program, it seems to have the basic functionality that I use on a daily basis (but not the external add-on's or numerous file viewers which I rarely use). As I stated in the article, it's nice to a have a file manager with a consistent interface over various flavours of Windows.
