JBMail: Bare Bones Email
By Thiravudh Khoman

Update Notes: 02-Mar-2001

I was playing with JBMail v2.2 the other day. As with the earlier v2.x's, this one doesn't allow you to save any profiles at all - until your buy the registered version that is. But it's added a feature that allows you to SEND mail now. This is convenient to have if you use it as a portable, email-on-a-disk mail client.

Incidentally, in the 28-Feb-2001 issue of Post Database, Wanda Sloan wrote about a program similar to JBMail called "Popcorn" (http://www.ultrafunk.com/products/popcorn). Popcorn does pretty much everything that JBMail does but does it for FREE. I've given it a try and indeed, it IS a good replacement.
